Hi y’all, I’m Lauren.

Mastermind and Chief of Getting it Done at Garnish

Being a food entrepreneur is something, isn’t it? The early mornings, late nights, and passion it takes to create something meaningful for others… As the former founder of a pop-up dining company, I know that rhythm well. I also know what it’s like when you can’t focus on your business because you’re too involved in your businessSound familiar?

I launched a pop-up dining service because I’m passionate about food…the way it builds community, carries culture, and nourishes us inside and out. For two years, I shared that passion with creative entrepreneurs and small business owners through the curated experiences I hosted. Those events didn’t just fill plates — they opened new doors — leading to various catering gigs and a co-hosting opportunity for a podcast series around food justice and black foodways.

But it was my ten years of experience in strategy development, systems and process design, program and event launches, team leadership, and operations management at multi-million dollar restaurants, businesses, and nonprofits that truly gave me the secret sauce to taking a business to the next level: having the right strategy, systems, and support in place that align with the person behind the business and the customers the business serves.

As food entrepreneurs, we don’t always have the capacity to focus on what’s happening behind the scenes — especially if, like me, you’re responsible for wearing all the hats in your business. That’s why I created Garnish: to help fellow food entrepreneurs take control of their operations, so they can serve their customers and communities well through profitable, lasting businesses.

Let’s work together to feed your passion and your future.

“Your calm disposition is contagious, welcomed, and appreciated in a high-stressed environment. You bring a great energy to the restaurant & are committed to the success of the store when you’re here.”

“You have demonstrated such thoughtfulness and patience in your approach to our business. You consider multiple perspectives on your way to making a decision, and no matter the challenge, you approach it with integrity with an end goal of improving how we work, and what and how we serve our customers.”

“You’ll always be known for your courage and boss energy. Since day one, our team has benefited from your humor, processes, perspectives, care, and expertise. We are so lucky to work with you!”
